Dr. Ron Klingsick

Ron has served as pastor of Arp Emmanuel Baptist since July 1994. His ministry objective is to consistently preach the Word of God and lead the church to win the lost and develop the saved. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wichita State University in 1979 and a Master of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1982. He also received his Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1991. Ron and his wife Shirley have been married since 1979 and have over 30 years of full-time ministry experience together. They have two daughters: Kellie and Allison. Shirley has a B.A. Degree in Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University and a Master of Business Administration Degree the University of Texas at Tyler. Ron recently celebrated his 20th anniversary at Arp Emmanuel Baptist. Photos of the celebration can be seen here. |

Jake Herington

Jake is the new Minister of Youth & Education at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church, as of August 2022. Prior to coming to Arp, Jake served as a bi-vocational youth pastor while teaching 8th grade history. He also served in various capacities with the Baptist Student Ministry for three years. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Tyler. In addition, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from UT Tyler. Jake and his wife Kelsey have been married since 2018 and have a baby boy. Jake enjoys a variety of hobbies including being outdoors, playing golf and basketball, mountain biking, hiking, hunting, spending time with family, and, like many other Texans, watching football. |
